Overlooking Tenby's old fishing Harbour
On
the cliffs above Tenby's sheltered, sunny North Beach,
Fourcroft looks spectacularly over the old fishing harbour and across Carmarthen
Bay.
Though only five minutes walk from the
mediaeval walled town centre, with its quaint alleys, little shops, art
galleries and workshops,
ancient churches and pubs, Fourcroft is on a quiet no-through road, part of the
186 mile (290km) Pembrokeshire
Coast National Park Coastal Footpath, voted by National Geographic Magazine judges in 2010 to be the second best coastline... in the world. Private paths from the hotel lead down
to the beach through several levels of beautiful
landscaped gardens.
Fourcroft forms part of a Listed Georgian terrace,
built over 175 years ago as individual summer houses. Over the sixty years
and three generations of family ownership, Fourcroft has been consistently upgraded
to become one of Tenby's most luxurious hotels.
Most of our 40
bedrooms overlook the bay. All of them offer an extensive range of facilities
to ensure your comfort: ensuite bathroom, radio and T.V., central heating, tea
and coffee bar, hair dryer, direct dial telephone. A lift runs from the first
half landing.
Our restaurant (Ossie Morgan's)
and lounges also overlook the sea. All our food, featuring local produce,
is freshly prepared by skilled chefs familiar with a seaside appetite. Our
traditional cooked breakfasts, exciting bar lunches and delicious evening menus
cater for all tastes & most dietary requirements. And with your meal, perhaps
a glass or bottle of wine from our cellars stocked with an interesting selection
from the Old and New Worlds.
Our
Hollywood Bar, where you can sit next to the Stars, offers everything from Fine Ales to local Mineral Water.
Our treasured staff, many of whom have been with us for years provide an attentive, yet always friendly 24-hour service.
All the castles, museums, gardens, aquaria, craft-workshops and activity attractions west of Cardiff and south of Aberystwyth are within easy visiting distance.
Within walking distance is Wales's oldest
golf course; there are also tennis,
bowling, horse riding, sailing, fishing,
scuba diving, wind surfing, parascending,
coasteering, bird watching, sea cruises, Wales's biggest theme park at
Oakwood and coach excursions.
Latest in Tenby's hits is the hosting of Ironman Wales, in September. And, amongst the many gardens in West Wales, the
National Botanic Garden of Wales near Carmarthen, features the world's largest single span glass structure. Or what about a course with one of Pembrokeshire's many craftspeople? We are also able to arrange bespoke tours of the area, with
one of Pembrokeshire's expert driver / guides. Or you can make your own arrangements, perhaps using
public transport.
Our Map Room, overflowing with information, will show you how to find them all.
Taxis meet all trains and coaches coming into Tenby and should deliver you to Fourcroft within five minutes. Motorists should fork left following North Beach directions into Tenby and double back along cliff top road on reaching sea front. Park directly outside hotel for unloading. Ample car parks nearby.
